Seems FranklinNOW has decided that a Franklin neighborhood getting sidewalks is big, big news.

Maybe when a Flintstone’s community like Franklin gets sidewalks it's considered stop the presses material.

Sorry. Not to me. Folks here need to flip their calendars and stop insisting it’s still 1957.

Sidewalks to be installed?

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

Dog bites man.

Editors should insist to reporters: What else you got for me?

However, the FranklinNOW coverage of this stunning revelation is noteworthy. Here’s why. And yes, FranklinNOW, you did what you do best…miss a good story.

This FranklinNOW article on the sidewalks provides a revealing quote from Franklin alderman Kristen (Whiny) Wilhelm, that I’m sure never dawned on the folks running the news at FranklinNOW.

With residents opposed to sidewalks, ol’ Whiny Wilhelm voted for them anyway. She didn’t just vote for them. She made the motion to construct them.  Her rationale?

Sit back.

Get ready.

Cuz this is a full-fledged blockbuster beauty.

"I understand that nobody wants shovel the sidewalk, but we are talking about building a community. We need to take the greater good of all the residents into concern."

Oh, really?

That comment from the Whiny One just SCREAMS hypocrisy. Of course no one from FranklinNOW would ask a  tough follow-up question because they'd rather fall off a cliff.

"I understand that nobody wants shovel the sidewalk, but we are talking about building a community. We need to take the greater good of all the residents into concern."

We need to take the greater good of all the residents into concern.

We are talking about building a community.

Oh, really, Alderman Wilhelm?

Where was Wilhelm when it was time to locate
Kayla's Playground at Pleasant View Park where it originally should have gone?

Placing it there would have been for the
greater good of all the residents.

Placing it there would have helped contribute to building a community.

Wilhelm wouldn’t go along.

How about the option of Franklin Woods for Kayla's Playground? Wilhelm was one of three votes to abstain.

We need to take the greater good of all the residents into concern.

We are talking about building a community.

An all-inclusive playground wouldn't be considerate of the greater good?

An all-inclusive playground doesn't build a community?

Disgusting.

Wilhelm professes one thing and then acts/votes another.

And it’s obvious from the recent record that Wilhelm refuses to say or do anything when it comes to supporting Kayla’s Playground. Why? Because the mayor and others Wilhelm disagrees with politically support Kayla’s Playground.

That’s despicable.

That’s my alderman.
