Catholic School Week Kickoff!

Jan. 27, 2010

Catholic Schools Week is just around the corner. St. Martin of Tours is preparing for all the weeks' festivities for the students and staff. St. Martin of Tours will hold an Open House on Sunday, January 31st following an 8:30 a.m. mass. School tours will be given to prospective families interested in K4-8th grades along with a continental breakfast and scavenger hunt for the kids! Open House hours are from 9:30 - 12:00 noon. St. Martin of Tours is located at 7933 S. 116th Street in Franklin. Visit our website at for more information and directions.

On Monday the fun continues. The St. Martin of Tours students will be having an all school field trip to the movies; on Tuesday the students will have special people from our community reading a story to them. Some of the guest readers include Franklin's Mayor, Franklin's DARE officer and even Bart Adrian from Milwaukee's own local news station. Wednsday is a special day for the St. Martin of Tours students. They will be participating in "Jump Rope For Heart" which is sponsored by the American Heart Association. The students have been raising money for the American Heart Association and they will participate in heart healthy activities throughout the day. Thursday is a Catholic Vocation Day where members of the religious community will speak to the students about their lives in the Catholic community. On Friday, we have saved the best for last. St. Martin of Tours is hosting our annual Grandparents/Special Person Day. The day will start with mass at 8:30 followed by a performance by Hawaiin dancers and a great polynesian lunch for all.

Please call or visit us for more information about our school. St. Martin of Tours welcomes all faiths and has busing in Franklin and most of Muskego.
