Baseball parents meeting slated for April 30 at Franklin

A meeting for parents of prospective Franklin baseball players will be held on April 30 at 7 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.

This parents-only meeting will provide information regarding the baseball program at Franklin, and parents are urged to attend.

Dance set for May 5 benefits Franklin baseball

The 12th annual "batter-up" dance sponsored by Franklin High School baseball will be held on May 5 from 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at Root River Center, 7220 W. Rawson Ave., Franklin.

Proceeds from the dance, which features door prizes and a silent auction, will benefit Franklin baseball. Tickets are $10, including beverages and snacks, and can be purchased at the high school athletic office or at the door.

Attendees must be at least 21 years old, and alumni players and parents are urged to attend. The top door prize is $1,000.

Franklin baseball team holds signup on April 23

The Franklin High School baseball signup and organizational meeting will be held on April 23 at 7 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.

All young men in grades nine through 12 who are interested in trying out for baseball are urged to attend this meeting.
