Franklin golfer plays well at conference tourney

Pius XI sophomore Emily Bliske of Franklin garnered second-team all-conference honors at the Classic 8 Conference golf meet at The Broadlands on Sept. 23.

Free basketball clinic for coaches, players

There will be a free basketball clinic for coaches and boys in sixth through eighth grades at Oak Creek High School from 9-11 a.m. Nov. 6.

This clinic will help coaches set up drills for developing shots and build practice plans. There will be a court demonstration to summarize drill work and philosophies of shooting.

There will also be breakout sessions for players to learn how to start their own routines at home that blend into the coaches practice plan.

Oak Creek select basketball team holding tryouts

Tryouts will be held for the fourth-grade Oak Creek Knights Select/Travel basketball team from 7-8:45 p.m. Oct. 13 at Oak Creek High School.

Select girls basketball teams for fourth- through eighth-graders who live in Oak Creek or attend school in the Oak Creek-Franklin district are looking for players.
