1Seven batteries and an air wrench were stolen at Reliable Truck Maintenance, 2901 W. Elm Road, between 6 p.m. Nov. 14 and 9 a.m. Nov. 15. There were no signs of forced entry into the garage. An employee found the front door unlocked and the alarm disabled when he arrived at work at 8 a.m. Nov. 15. Loss is estimated at $1,040.


2A firewood sign was stolen from Jim K's Landscaping, 11221 W. Forest Home Ave., between 3 and 4:30 p.m. Nov. 9.

3A purse was stolen out of an unlocked vehicle at King's Wok, 6556 S. Lovers Lane Road, between 4:45 and 8 p.m. Nov. 11.

4A 24-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man, both of Milwaukee, were arrested for stealing towels, thermal underwear and flatware at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 8:20 p.m. Nov. 11.

5The owner of Gus' Mexican Cantina, 6514 S. Lovers Lane Road, reported at 4:10 p.m. Nov. 12 that a female ex-employee stole about $200 from the restaurant by entering transactions into the register and then deleting them in order to keep the cash between Sept. 13 and Oct. 5. Police were seeking the 23-year-old woman for questioning at the time of the report.

6A 24-year-old man was arrested for stealing men's cologne at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., about 10:40 a.m. Nov. 13. He was taken into custody near Culver's.

7A 27-year-old Franklin woman was arrested for stealing $333 worth of merchandise at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 5:15 p.m. Nov. 13.

8A security employee at Target, 7800 S. Lovers Lane Road, called police at 10:10 a.m. Nov. 14 to report a 31-year-old man was identified as the person who shoplifted $128 worth of baby formula about 2:40 p.m. Nov. 9. The 31-year-old man was arrested at the Target in Greenfield for the same theft on Nov. 10, and was also involved in a shoplifting incident at the Franklin Target on Nov. 4. Police were following up with the store and the man at the time of the report.

9A 23-year-old Franklin man was cited for theft for stealing a mailbox in the 3500 block of West Thorncrest Drive about 2 a.m. Nov. 15. The theft was caught on tape by a home security surveillance system.

10A 53-year-old woman was arrested for stealing $190 worth of groceries at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 11:10 a.m. Nov. 15. In addition, she was taken into custody on a Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office warrant for retail theft.

11A 25-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for shoplifting $290 worth of merchandise at Menards, 10925 W. Speedway Drive, at 11:25 a.m. Nov. 15.

12A 30-year-old Milwaukee woman with an infant and a toddler was arrested for shoplifting, second offense, at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., about 4:50 p.m. Nov. 15.

13A woman shoplifted a Green Dot prepaid debit card, valued at $1,004.64, at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., about 6:25 p.m. Nov. 16. She initially provided a check to pay for the card, but when employees questioned the woman's check, she ripped it up and left the store with the debit card. An employee told police that the Southgate Walmart and the Muskego Walmart were also victims of a similar theft for $5,000 each Nov. 16. The woman, described as a black woman in her mid-40s wearing a dark knitted hat, a black coat with fur on the collar and sunglasses, was last seen driving a silver or dark-colored SUV.

14A man was arrested for shoplifting a $250 pair of headphones at Target, 7800 S. Lovers Lane Road, about 4:55 p.m. Nov. 17. He fled, but officers found him near a church on Drexel Avenue and took him into custody.


15A 15-year-old boy was arrested for selling prescription drugs on school grounds at Franklin High School, 8222 S. 51st St., about 1 p.m. Nov. 13.

16A 37-year-old Franklin man was arrested for possession of heroin and possession of cocaine with intent to deliver at a home in the 6400 block of South 27th Street, and was taken into custody on a Wisconsin Community Corrections warrant at 8:55 p.m. Nov. 16.


17A 25-year-old Waterford man was arrested for drunken driving in the lot at The Hideaway Pub & Eatery, 9643 S. 76th St., at 2:30 a.m. Nov. 17. His blood-alcohol content was 0.16.


18A 32-inch flat-screen television was damaged at the Embassy Motel, 8253 S. 27th St., between Nov. 13 and Nov. 14. Damage is estimated at $300.

19A rock was thrown through the front window at Baptista's Bakery, 4625 W. Oakwood Park Drive, about 1:55 p.m. Nov. 15.


20Two male students were cited for disorderly conduct after a physical altercation at Franklin High School, 8222 S. 51st St., at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 11.

21A 33-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for obstructing an officer after he was pulled over and cited for driving with a suspended license and expired registration at the Pinehaven Group Home, 6795 S. 51st St., at 7 a.m. Nov. 12.

22A counterfeit $100 bill was passed at Linda's Hallmark, 7205 S. 76th St., about 7:30 p.m. Nov. 13. The counterfeit bill was a $5 bill that had been washed and reprinted to resemble a $100 bill. Police are investigating.

23An 80-year-old man was mailed a citation for disorderly conduct after he made harassing statements to employees at Landmark Credit Union, 7780 S. Lovers Lane Road, Nov. 14. The man was previously cited for a similar incident at the bank Nov. 5, and had been told by police and management not to return to the bank.

24A 24-year-old woman was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after she was detained for shoplifting at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 14.

25A 23-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for obstructing an officer and carrying a concealed weapon in the 7000 block of South 76th Street about 10:05 p.m. Nov. 14. Officers were chasing the man after he stole an iPad from two people at Spice II in Oak Creek, and when he was pulled over in Franklin he resisted arrest. In addition, he was cited for driving without a valid driver's license and suspended registration.

26A 21-year-old man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the 2600 block of West Drexel Avenue at 1:05 a.m. Nov. 15.

27A 43-year-old Franklin woman was cited for obstructing an officer after she became uncooperative with police who were investigating a one-vehicle accident at 35th Street and College Avenue at 9:45 p.m. Nov. 17. The driver of the car, a 20-year-old man, fled and is wanted for a parole violation.

· Franklin police responded to one domestic violence call and assisted with two rescue calls between Nov. 11 and Nov. 17.
