Police Report: July 24

July 24, 2012


1Three 12-packs of Corona beer and an unknown amount of bottled liquor were stolen during a burglary at Polonia Sports Club, 10200 W. Loomis Road, between 5:30 p.m. July 18 and 11:30 a.m. July 19. The unknown suspect(s) broke a window to the kitchen to gain entry to the building.


2A cased violin, two violin bows, valued at $300 to $500, several hundred dollars in gift cards, $35 cash, sunglasses, headphones and a three-foot cable were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 7000 block of West Elroy Court between 9 p.m. July 10 and noon July 21.

3Two 50-foot rolls of chain link fencing were stolen from a driveway in the 11900 block of West Somerset Drive between July 12 and July 14.

4Two plastic pink flamingos were stolen from a backyard in the 8800 block of West Mourning Dove Court between the early morning hours of July 15 and 1:50 p.m. July 16.

5A bag containing work-related equipment was stolen from a locked vehicle at Planet Fitness, 6529 S. 27th St., before 7:05 p.m. July 16. A back window of the car was broken to gain access.

6A 19-year-old Mishicot man was arrested for shoplifting a $15 USB device at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 12:25 p.m. July 17.

7A backpack containing basketball shoes and a wallet was stolen in the 4100 block of West Hilltop Lane between 9:30 p.m. July 17 and 1:30 p.m. July 18.

8Eight PS3 video games, valued at $150, were stolen from a lodger at Embassy Motel, 8253 S. 27th St., at noon July 19. Police are following up with a possible suspect.

9A 47-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for shoplifting at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 2:50 p.m. July 19.

10A 22-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for shoplifting at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 10:15 p.m. July 19.

11A resident in the 6800 block of South 35th Street reported someone stole keys from her purse and used them to steal property from a lock box in her closet at 5:25 p.m. July 20.

12A truck owner's manual and a wallet containing a driver's license and two credit cards were stolen from an unlocked truck parked in the 7100 block of West Pineberry Ridge between 3 and 5 a.m. July 21.

13A 26-year-old female employee was arrested for theft when she loaded four $500 Visa gift cards and only charged the customer for the activation fees at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 8:50 a.m. July 22.

14An unknown suspect(s) stole the letters off the marquee sign at the Buckhorn Inn, 9461 S. 27th St., between 2 p.m. July 21 and 10 a.m. July 22. The letters are valued at $200.


15A 33-year-old West Bend man was arrested for battery and disorderly conduct after he struck his girlfriend, a 19-year-old woman, in the face several times during an argument in the parking lot at Quik Chek, 8305 S. 27th St., at 6:40 p.m. July 22. The victim was transported to Wheaton Franciscan were she was treated for facial bruising and swelling.


16A resident reported someone scratched two of her car doors while it was parked her driveway in the 8100 block of South Four Oaks Drive between 3 p.m. July 16 and 10:20 a.m. July 18.

17A bedroom window was smashed at a residence in the 8800 block of West Elm Court before 2:15 p.m. July 19.


18A 40-year-old Franklin woman was arrested for disorderly conduct after a road rage incident in the 3100 block of West College Avenue at 3:20 p.m. July 19. The suspect claimed she was cut off by another driver near the airport, then followed the driver to College Avenue where she began pounding on the victim's vehicle window and yelling.

19A 38-year-old Franklin man was cited for trespassing after he was seen running through a residential backyard with his pants down in the 3700 block of West Cypress Lane at 5:15 p.m. July 22.

20A 35-year-old West Allis man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he caused a disturbance by inappropriately grabbing women, pushing other patrons and attempted to punch several people at Croatian Park, 9140 S. 76th St., at 6:30 p.m. July 22.

Franklin police responded to one domestic violence call and assisted with two rescue calls between July 16 and July 23.
