A $200 snow thrower was stolen from a garage in the 300 block of East Oak Lane between 3 p.m. Dec. 17 and 11:30 a.m. Dec. 18. The victim noticed tracks in the grass where the snow thrower had been pushed out toward the bike path leading to East Quail Run. Police followed up with residents but there were no witnesses.
A copper water line worth $150, a copper air-conditioning line worth $200 and heat tape worth $200 were stolen from two trailers Oak Creek Estates, 2301 W. College Ave., between the afternoon of Dec. 12 and the morning of Dec. 14. The thief cut the materials off the trailers.
A cell phone charger was stolen from a vehicle in the 1000 block of East Oakwood Road between Dec. 16 and Dec. 18.
The manager called police to report $100 was stolen out of a vending machine at Comfort Suites, 6362 S. 13th St., at 12:50 p.m. Dec. 19. Police have a possible suspect and are trying to locate him.
An unknown female took a man's wallet containing $900 from his room at Red Roof Inn, 6360 S. 13th St., around 4 p.m. Dec. 19. The customer stated the woman, described as 'dark' and wearing a hat and carrying a bag, came to his room after she asked him for money at the bus stop. After he gave her $1 and water and she left, he noticed his wallet was missing.
Two GPS units worth $400 and $2 in change were stolen from the glove box of a vehicle in the 1000 block of East Stonegate Drive between 7:30 p.m. Dec. 18 and 8:30 a.m. Dec. 19.
A $50 saw was stolen out of an unlocked garage in the 400 block of East Oak Lane between 7 p.m. Dec. 18 and 7:30 a.m. Dec. 19. The thief also rummaged through the cars in the garage, but nothing was taken.
A $20 Ipass was stolen out of one vehicle and two $10 CDs and a $200 pair of prescription sunglasses were stolen from a second vehicle parked in an unlocked garage in the 300 block of East Oak Lane between 7:30 p.m. Dec. 18 and 6 a.m. Dec. 19.
Two males attempted to shoplift $175 worth of baby formula, diapers and lunch meat at Pick 'N Save, 8770 S. Howell Ave., at about 10:30 p.m. Dec. 19. The manager chased the men after a clerk observed them walking out with the shopping cart. They fled in a green truck before they could load the items into their vehicle and the items were recovered.
About $100 worth of clothing was stolen from a laundry room at Oak Park Apartments, 8745 S. Oak Park Drive, between 8:30 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. Dec. 20.
Officers responding to a noise complaint arrested a 20-year-old Oak Creek man for possession of marijuana after they found 11.3 grams of THC, a grinder, two pipes and two packs of rolling paper in his bedroom in the 8000 block of South Wildwood Drive around 2 a.m. Dec. 21.
Officers investigating a report of drug use at a residence in the 3700 block of East Ryan Road arrested a 22-year-old Racine man for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver after he claimed ownership of 52 grams of marijuana police found in a vehicle driving away from the residence at 9:45 p.m. Dec. 18. A 21-year-old Racine man and a 26-year-old Oak Creek man were also arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving and cited for operating without a valid license in the 100 block of West Rawson Avenue at 2:40 a.m. Dec. 20. His blood alcohol content was 0.19.
A 31-year-old Oak Creek woman was arrested for disorderly conduct after she scratched her boyfriend's mother on the neck during an argument at Days Inn, 1201 W. College Ave., at 2:55 p.m. Dec. 18.
A 17-year-old Oak Creek boy was arrested for disorderly conduct after he began yelling loudly and using racial slurs, then refused to follow officers' orders at Oak Creek High School, 340 E. Puetz Road, at 2:20 p.m. Dec. 19.
A 19-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for underage possession of alcohol after officers found him highly intoxicated, covered in vomit and passed out in the driver's seat of his car with his head hanging out the window in the 8000 block of South Wildwood Drive at about 2:30 a.m. Dec. 21. The man declined an ambulance and was turned over to his father.
Firefighters and police responded to a fuel spill from a semi in the 10100 block of South 27th Street at 8:22 a.m. Dec. 19. The disabled semi was northbound when the passenger side fuel tank came off his truck, causing 15 to 25 gallons to spill into the roadway and ditch. The Oak Creek Fire Department cleaned up the spill and Milwaukee County Emergency Management and the DNR also responded to evaluate the spill and cleanup needs.
Oak Creek police assisted with 12 rescue calls and one fire call between Dec. 18 and Dec. 21.
