1 A purse was stolen after the owner accidentally left it on a chair in the food court at Southridge Mall, 5300 S. 76th St., at about 7:10 p.m. June 21. When she went back to get the purse about 10 minutes later, it was gone, and her credit card was used to make a fraudulent purchase at a gas station in Milwaukee at about 8:30 p.m.
2 An unidentified man walked behind the counter and stole four $30 Instant Million scratch-off lottery tickets at Speedway, 5490 S. 76th St., at about 5 a.m. June 22. The man, described as a 6-foot-tall white male between 20 and 30 years old with a goatee, glasses and wearing a baseball hat and a gray hooded sweatshirt, was last seen walking southbound towards West Grange Avenue.
3 Two unidentified males stole an undisclosed amount of metal plating at Midwest Bleachers Inc., 6050 Industrial Court, and then fled in a black Volvo at about 3:10 p.m. June 23. An employee reached into the suspect's vehicle and pulled a license plate off the front dashboard before the vehicle left the lot, and police are investigating.
4 Seven adults and one juvenile were arrested for shoplifting at Southridge Mall, 5300 S. 76th St., between June 20 and June 26.
5 One man was arrested for disorderly conduct and carrying a concealed weapon and a second man was arrested for battery at Southridge Mall, 5300 S. 76th St., at about 10:15 a.m. June 20 after officers responded to a report of two men fighting in the food court.
6 A man was arrested for drunken driving (second offense) and cited for speeding after he was pulled over on South 76th Street and West Grange Avenue at about 4:30 p.m. June 21. A chemical breath test indicated a blood alcohol content of 0.24.
7 A man was arrested for drunken driving (second offense) and cited for reckless driving and operating after suspension after he was seen driving the wrong way on Crocus Court and Broad Street and almost struck another vehicle at about 4:30 p.m. June 25. A chemical breath test indicated a preliminary BAC of 0.27.
8 A man was arrested for underage drinking at about 10:05 p.m. June 22 when an officer was investigating a suspicious, occupied vehicle parked on Root River and Rainbow drives.
9 A man was arrested for an absolute sobriety violation and possessing open intoxicants in a vehicle on West College Avenue and South 51st Street at about 2:10 a.m. June 26. A chemical breath test indicated a BAC of 0.03.
