Franklin Police Report: June 12

June 10, 2014


1 An identified male broke into the Landmark Tavern, 11401 W. Swiss St., forced open four video slot machines, a jukebox and a dart board game and stole an unknown amount of cash sometime between 10:30 p.m. June 2 and 6:05 a.m. June 3. The male, described as a lighter-skinned male wearing a knit stocking cap, a heavy winter-type work jacket and jeans, forced open a side door to gain entry. The suspect was seen leaving Landmark on video surveillance located at Crossroads Pizza.

2 An identified person(s) broke into the Irish Cottage, 11433 W. Ryan Road, after disconnecting power to the building from the outside, forced open several video gaming machines and stole an undisclosed amount of cash sometime between 3 a.m. and 7:20 a.m. June 7.


3 A 27-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for shoplifting two watches and razor blades at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at about 5:35 p.m. June 6.


4 A 21-year-old man was arrested for battery after he got into a physical altercation with his girlfriend in her vehicle in the 2800 block of West Rawson Avenue at about 11:20 p.m. June 7. He was taken into custody at Walmart, cited and released.

Drug possession

5 A 21-year-old Franklin woman was arrested for operating after revocation and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 8200 block of West Drexel Avenue at about 1:25 a.m. June 4.

6 A female juvenile (Jim-she is 14 years old) was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the 7100 block of West Brunn Drive at about 7:40 p.m. June 5.

7 A 19-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia at the American Motel, 9335 S. 27th St., after she called police to report her boyfriend was sitting in her car and not allowing her to leave the business at about 5 a.m. June 6.

8 A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for shoplifting (third offense) and for felony possession of marijuana at Walmart, 6701 s. 27th St., at about 9:45 a.m. June 6.

9 A 26-year-old Greendale man was arrested for possession of marijuana during a traffic stop in the 6200 block of South 31st Street at about 11:25 p.m. June 6.

10 A 19-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and cited for operating after suspension in the 10000 block of South 27th Street at about 2 a.m. June 7.

11 A 20-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for drugged driving, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and underage possession of alcohol in the 3900 block of West Ryan Road at about 2:20 a.m. June 9.


12 An unidentified male used loud, profane language and threatened to pistol whip and shoot a Milwaukee man at the bus stop shelter at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at about 8:20 p.m. June 4. The incident occurred after the suspect asked to use the victim's cell phone, and he refused.

13 The manager of the Rock BMX track at The Rock Sports Complex, 7900 W. Crystal Ridge Drive, called police after an Oconomowoc man became upset that his kid lost a BMX race and began swearing at the track officials at about 5:15 p.m. June 7. The manager said she asked the man about his behavior, and he started swearing at her and demanded a refund for a race scheduled for the next day, which he was given. The man then was involved in an argument with another man and grabbed him by the shirt, causing a heated argument, but no punches were thrown. The victims did not want the man cited, but requested he be advised that his is no longer welcome at The Rock for any event or he will be cited for trespassing.

14 A 22-year-old Franklin man was cited for operating a vehicle without a valid license and texting while driving after he was stopped for erratic driving and for trying to avoid a police squad in the 7400 block of South 36th Street at about 5:20 a.m. June 8.

15 An associate principal called police after finding two goats, 10 chickens and six ducks inside the walled courtyard at Franklin High School, 8222 S. 51st St. sometime between the evening hours of June 8 and the early morning hours of June 9. The animals appeared to have been lowered into the courtyard area as a prank. The animals, who were unharmed and were left with food and water, were turned over to a teacher.
