Hales Corners Police Report: May 6

1 A $4,500 Toyota forklift was stolen from a fenced area at the rear of Wheel & Sprocket, 5722 S. 108th St., between May 3 and May 5. The gate was pushed in, breaking the lock and hinges in order, for entry. The store has a surveillance camera covering the area; however, the camera was redirected so the incident was not captured on video.

2 A woman's purse containing $130 and a smartphone was stolen while she was eating at Cousin's Subs, 5652 S. 108th St., at about noon May 3. The purse was found in the parking lot of Culver's in Muskego later that day; however, the money andsmartphone were missing.

Drunken driving

3 A 53-year-old New Berlin man was arrested for drunken driving and was taken into custody for a probation violation after he was pulled over for having no brake lights on West Edgerton Avenue and South 116th Street at about 2:10 a.m. May 5. He refused chemical breath testing and was taken into custody.


4 One person was transported to Froedtert Hospital after a driver attempted to cross the southbound lanes of traffic in the 5800 block of South 108th Street and collided with another vehicle after passing the median break at about 4 p.m. April 30. No citations were issued at the scene.


5 Franklin police reported a woman in a gray sweatshirt who was driving northbound on South 108th Street near West College Avenue was eating and texting with children in the car at 11:40 a.m. April 30. Hales Corners police were unable to locate the vehicle.

· Hales Corners police assisted with three rescue calls and one fire call between April 28 and May 4.
