Police Report: March 19

1A prescription bottle containing 90 OxyContin pills, valued at $300, was reported stolen from a locked room at the Twi-Lite Motel, 10126 S. 27th St., between 4:20 and 9:30 p.m. March 17. There were no signs of forced entry. Police are following up with motel management.

2A garage and an inner entry door of a residence were damaged during an apparent burglary attempt in the 1100 block of East Mackinac Avenue prior to 6:30 p.m. March 17. The home was not entered. Damage to the doors is estimated at $400. Police interviewed neighbors who stated they saw two males and one female in a white, four-door vehicle pull into the driveway between 10:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. March 16. Police are following up.


3A $99 GPS unit was stolen from an unlocked car outside Pick 'n Save, 8770 S. Howell Ave., between 5 and 6 p.m. March 1.

4A $300 Xbox 360 and a $500 auto maintenance textbook were stolen from a locked car in the 1800 block of West Timber Ridge Lane between 1:30 and 10:15 a.m. March 13. There was no damage to the vehicle, and it is not known how entry was made.

5A 22-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman, both of Illinois, were arrested for identity theft after the man used a false identity to open a credit card account and the woman attempted to open a line of credit using another person's personal information at American TV, 9191 S. 13th St., at 6:30 p.m. March 16. The man also was arrested for theft and forgery after he was approved for the credit line and used it to purchase $3,800 worth of electronics.

6A 24-year-old Oak Creek man was cited for shoplifting two bags of pipe tobacco, valued at $10, at Phillips 66, 150 W. Rawson Ave., March 16.

7A man shoplifted a $70 carton of Newport cigarettes at 7 Eleven, 1225 W. Rawson Ave., at 1:20 p.m. March 18.

8A maroon Ford Econoline van was stolen while the owner left it running, without the keys in the ignition, to warm up at Sunrise Shores, 8481 S. Fifth Ave., just after 6 a.m. March 19. The van is valued at $2,000.


9A 42-year-old Oak Creek man was cited for battery after he grabbed a man by the neck and threw him onto his car, causing him neck pain and soreness, during a fight over money at Pilot Travel Center, 2031 W. Ryan Road, at 10:30 a.m. March 16.


10An 18-year-old Oak Creek man, a 17-year-old Milwaukee boy and a 16-year-old Oak Creek boy were arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the 8200 block of South Darcy Drive about 9 p.m. March 15.

11A 17-year-old Oak Creek boy was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and the 17-year-old Oak Creek boy who was a passenger in the car was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after a canine unit found 4.2 grams of THC, a pink grinder and a pipe in the car during a traffic stop in the 7900 block of South Pennsylvania Avenue at 6 p.m. March 17.

12Officers responding to a report of a possible underage party in a room at Days Inn, 1201 W. College Ave., arrested an 18-year-old Milwaukee man for possession of marijuana after finding a bag containing 4.1 grams of THC on a window ledge at 1:45 a.m. March 18. Officers evicted all the people from the room after they found empty bottles of alcohol. None of the occupants were of legal drinking age.


13A 32-year-old Menomonee Falls woman was arrested for drunken driving and cited for driving without a valid license in the 8100 block of South 27th Street at 2:30 a.m. March 15. Her blood-alcohol content was 0.20.

14A 56-year-old Wauwatosa man was arrested for drunken driving after an officer pulled him over for driving without his vehicle's headlights on in the 800 block of West College Avenue at 3 a.m. March 16. His BAC was 0.16.

15A 31-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving after he drove his GMC Suburban into a ditch in the 1400 block of West Ryan Road at 2:45 a.m. March 17. His BAC was 0.16.

16A 22-year-old Racine woman was arrested for drunken driving and cited for hit and run after she failed to negotiate the curve from eastbound Highway 100 to southbound Chicago Road, crossed over the center median into the northbound lane, then crossed back and struck and knocked over a city light pole, blocking all the southbound lanes of traffic at 2:35 a.m. March 18. The woman left the scene of the accident and was found, intoxicated, at her home. Her BAC was 0.10.


17A 19-year-old South Milwaukee woman was taken to Froedtert Hospital for treatment of neck and back pain after her car slid on black ice and crossed from the southbound lanes into the northbound lanes and collided with a vehicle on Chicago Road, just north of Puetz Road, at 7:10 a.m. March 12. The driver of the other vehicle, a pregnant, 28-year-old Franksville woman, was taken to Froedtert as a precautionary measure. The South Milwaukee woman was cited for driving too fast for conditions.


18A resident of the 1100 block of West Canary Lane reported her mailbox post had been vandalized between noon March 11 and 9 p.m. March 12. Damage is estimated at $100.


19A 42-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for issuing worthless checks after she passed a bad check at Menards, 6800 S. 27th St., March 12, then returned and attempted to pass another bad check at 12:30 p.m. March 13.

20An anonymous caller reported an man masturbating in the bathroom at Pick 'n Save, 8770 S. Howell Ave., about 4:15 p.m. March 17. The man was not found.

21Officers responding to a noise complaint in an apartment in the 8000 block of South Wildwood Drive cited a 19-year-old Oak Creek man for underage drinking and possession of alcohol and a 20-year-old South Milwaukee woman for underage possession of intoxicants at 12:45 a.m. March 18.

Oak Creek police responded to three domestic violence calls and assisted with 26 rescue calls between March 12 and March 18.
