1A vacant residence in the 3400 block of East Oak Lane was entered before 9:45 a.m. Feb. 9. Police observed footprints in the snow going in and out of the residence, but were unable to determine if anything was taken or if the damage inside was new. Police are investigating.


2A McMillen Auger attachment (for a skidster), valued at $3,936, was stolen off a job site at 13th Street and Drexel Avenue between Jan. 21 and Jan. 23.

3An unknown man shoplifted a $300 video game console at Target, 8989 S. Howell Ave., at 3:48 p.m. Feb. 2. The suspect took the console off an end cap, placed it in his cart and covered it with his jacket to conceal it while exiting the store.

A resident called police at 8:25 p.m. Feb. 5 after she was defrauded out of $540 by a telephone scammer. The resident told police she received a phone call from someone posing as her granddaughter, who stated she was in an accident in Canada and needed $500 to give to the other driver. The resident sent the $500, plus a $40 fee, through Western Union before she discovered the call was a scam.

4A $20 "Open" sign and a $40 decorative sheep shear were stolen off the door of Just 4 Ewe, 8615 S. Market Place, between 10 p.m. Feb. 7 and 6 a.m. Feb. 8.

5A 39-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for shoplifting after he was seen concealing three Tombstone pizzas, valued at $13, inside his coat at Pick 'n Save, 6462 S. 27th St., at 8 p.m. Feb. 10.

6A 2007 Volkswagen Jetta was stolen in the 400 block of West Swan Cercle between 9 p.m. Feb. 10 and 4:25 a.m. Feb. 11. The owner of the car told police the car was unlocked.

7An employee at Target, 8989 S. Howell Ave., called police at 2:10 p.m. Feb. 11 after a video surveillance review revealed two unknown suspects shoplifted $46 of electronic equipment on Jan. 20 and returned on Feb. 8 and shoplifted $94 of electronics and other items. An officer is following up with the store to identify the suspects.


8A 17-year-old Franklin girl was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after the school resource officer found a glass pipe with charred residue in her purse at Oak Creek High School, 340 E. Puetz Road, at 10:35 a.m. Feb. 6.

9A 17-year-old Oak Creek girl was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after the school resource officer located a hollowed-out pen with char marks and yellow residue in her possession at Oak Creek High School, 340 E. Puetz Road, at 2:20 p.m. Feb. 7. The girl admitted she used the pen to smoke Percocet.

10Officers responding to a report of two men smoking marijuana in a vehicle in the 6400 block of South 20th Street arrested an 18-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after they found a pipe with charred marijuana residue under his car seat at 1:10 p.m. Feb. 9.

11A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of marijuana during a traffic stop on Howell and Drexel avenues at 2:45 p.m. Feb. 9. He was also cited for operating while suspended and received a warning for no insurance.

12An 18-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after an officer found an orange glass bong with charred marijuana residue on his desk after police received a 911 call from a residence in the 8800 block of South Parkside Drive at about 8 p.m. Feb. 9. He was also cited for underage possession of alcohol.

13An unknown male and female shoplifted four packs of cigarettes and several packs of gum, valued at $35, from Marathon Gas, 9502 S. Howell Ave., at about 10 p.m. Feb. 9. Police found the females suspect's cellphone in the parking lot and they are attempting to locate her.


14A 35-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for drunken driving after an officer pulled him over for speeding in the 6500 block of South 20th Street at 1:45 a.m. Feb. 6. He admitted having two drinks before driving but refused a breath test and was taken into custody.

15A 22-year-old Greenfield man was arrested for drunken driving after a clerk called police to report a man passed out inside his vehicle at a gas pump at PDQ, 6300 S. 27th St., at 4 a.m. Feb. 6. Officers discovered the man was on probation during his arrest and he was transported to jail. His blood alcohol content was 0.14.

16A 21-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for drunken driving after police officers found him attempting to dislodge his car from a snow bank near the intersection of 27th Street and Drexel Avenue at about 3 a.m. Feb. 9. His blood alcohol level was 0.21.


17A 58-year-old Oak Creek woman and a 47-year-old Waukesha woman were transported to Wheaton Franciscan Hospital for back and neck pain after their cars were rear-ended in a chain-reaction accident in the 1400 block of West Ryan Road at 12:50 p.m. Feb. 11. The driver of the striking vehicle, a 19-year-old Oak Creek man, was cited for inattentive driving.


18A resident reported someone broke her mailbox post in the 7300 block of South King Arthur's Court between 10 p.m. Feb. 4 and 3:30 a.m. Feb. 5. Damage is estimated at $250.


19Officers responding to a report of a physical fight between two men over loud music and a parking spot at the Oakwood Motel, 8810 S. 27th St., arrested a 52-year-old Oak Creek man for having a valid warrant for drunken driving through the Caledonia Police Department at 11:05 p.m. Feb. 5.

20A 911 caller reported seeing wolves in the field south of the airport, crossing the road and heading south in the 600 block of East College Avenue at about 3 p.m. Feb. 6. The caller stated the wolves did not appear to be in danger or rabid, but wanted to advise police about the animals. Officers checked the area but could not locate any wolves or coyotes.

21A 23-year-old Oak Creek woman was cited for a snow and ice removal violation/prohibited placement of snow in the 300 block of East Ryan Road at 7:30 a.m. Feb. 8. According to the log, the woman had a friend clear her driveway and sidewalk with a skid steer and the friend dumped the snow on her neighbor's property, leaving a 6-foot pile of snow in his recently shoveled driveway.

22A 28-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for disorderly conduct after he shoved an airport van driver to the ground after the driver asked him to move his vehicle at Comfort Suites, 6362 S. 13th St., at about 4 p.m. Feb. 8. The man was found to have two valid traffic warrants through the St. Francis Police Department and was taken into custody.

23An employee called police after he found a counterfeit $20 in a cash register at Walgreens, 9449 S. Howell Ave., at 9:30 p.m. Feb. 10. It was unknown when the fake bill was passed.

Oak Creek police responded to one domestic violence call and assisted with 19 rescue calls and one fire call between Feb. 5 and 11.
