Police Report: Jan. 15

1A computer bag containing laptop computers, prescription medication, a U.S. passport and keys, valued at $2,862, was stolen out of a locked rental car parked at Xperience Fitness, 5321 S. 108th St., between 4:30 and 6:15 p.m. Jan. 7. The passenger side window was broken to gain entry.

2A bag containing prescription medication was stolen out of a shopping cart at Pick 'n Save, 5800 S. 108th St., at 10 a.m. Jan. 13. The incident was not caught on surveillance video and there were no witnesses to the theft.


3A 29-year-old Waukesha man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop on 108th Street and Parnell Avenue at 5:45 a.m. Jan. 14.


4The passenger-side door window and frame of a vehicle was damaged when someone tried to break into the car while it was parked at Xperience Fitness, 5321 S. 108th St., prior to 8:15 p.m. Jan. 7. Damage to the car is estimated at $700.

5The front door window was smashed out at M&W Marine, 11831 W. Janesville Road, between the late evening hours of Jan. 8 and 6:35 a.m. Jan. 9. Damage to the door is estimated at $600.

6Officers responding to a report of two juveniles breaking into vehicles and vandalizing them at St. Mary's Church/School, 9553 W. Edgerton Ave., found syrup had been poured over a parked vehicle at 7:05 p.m. Jan. 12. No damage was done and no cars were broken into. The juveniles were gone when police arrived.


7An employee called police after a counterfeit $1 bill was discovered at Pick 'n Save, 5800 S. 108th St., at 12:35 p.m. Jan. 7. A customer tried to use the bill in the self-checkout lane but the machine would not accept it. The customer had no knowledge that the bill was counterfeit, and it was confiscated and turned over to police.

Hales Corners police responded to one domestic violence call and assisted with four rescue calls between Jan. 7 and Jan. 13.
