Police Report: Nov. 27

1Three transmissions, three front brake assemblies and several aluminum garage door panels were stolen from the rear of a property in the 6900 block of South Howell Avenue between Sept. 15 and Nov. 21. Loss is estimated at $2,400. Police are following up with possible suspects.

2Twenty-eight tires and rims, valued at $260 each, were stolen from the southeast side of the building at Roadway Express, 6880 S. Howell Ave., between 10 a.m. Nov. 15 and 12:30 p.m. Nov. 20. A fence gate, valued at $400, was removed. Police are following up with Roadway's security company.

3Two license plates were reported stolen off a car in the 8500 block of South Breaburn Drive at 2 p.m. Nov. 20.

4An $800 iPhone 5 was stolen out of a customer's shopping cart in the liquor department at Woodman's, 8131 S. Howell Ave., between 6 and 6:30 p.m. Nov. 20.

5A $30 wheel-barrel was stolen from a yard in the 8300 block of South Yorkshire Drive between 5:30 a.m. Nov. 21 and 8:50 p.m. Nov. 22.

6Copper wiring and piping was stolen out of an air-conditioning unit outside a home at Oak Creek Estates, 2137 W. College Ave., between noon Nov. 22 and 9 a.m. Nov. 24. Damage is estimated at $3,000.

7A 45-year-old South Milwaukee man was arrested for theft after a state Department of Natural Resources warden saw him steal a four-foot black water buoy from Milwaukee County-owned pier property at Bender Park, 4503 E. Ryan Road, shortly after 5:30 p.m. Nov. 24.

8A white trailer, valued at $28,000, filled with more than 32,000 pounds of clothing for Goodwill, was stolen from JMB Express Trucking, 9810 S. Ridgeview Drive, shortly after 8 a.m. Nov. 25. Someone connected a white semi-truck tractor to the trailer to drive it away. The vehicle's departure was caught on video surveillance, but there were no markings on the tractor or plates that were visible.

9Batteries, laundry soap and personal care items were stolen from PDQ food store, 6300 S. 27th St., about 1 p.m. Nov. 25. Loss is estimated at $297.

10A 49-year-old Kentucky man was arrested for shoplifting a $30 saw blade at Menard's, 6800 S. 27th St., shortly after 5 p.m. Nov. 25.

11A $25 phone charger and $1.50 in change was stolen from an unlocked car in the 1400 block of East Prairie View Drive between 10 p.m. Nov. 25 and 7 a.m. Nov. 26.


12A 23-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after officers discovered two rolling machines, rolling papers and a plastic bag with 0.40 grams of THC in his car during a traffic stop in the 1900 block of West College Avenue shortly after 7 p.m. Nov. 24.

13A 29-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of marijuana after officers found a blunt in the front passenger-side ashtray of his car during a traffic stop on Rawson Avenue at Sixth Street at 10:45 p.m. Nov. 25. He also was cited for driving a vehicle with suspended registration.

14A 29-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for possession of marijuana and driving without a valid driver's license after police found 0.20 grams of marijuana and a grinder in his vehicle in the 500 block of West Oakwood Road at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 26.


15A 32-year-old Oak Creek woman was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, in the 3700 block of East American Avenue at 10:20 p.m. Nov. 21. Her blood-alcohol content was 0.18.

16A 28-year-old Greendale man was arrested for drunken driving and cited for driving with a suspended license in the 8800 block of South 27th Street at 2:55 a.m. Nov. 22. His BAC was 0.10.


17Graffiti was discovered on a stop sign at Verdev and Stuart drives at 7:45 a.m. Nov. 20. "J+R" was spray-painted in blue paint on the stop sign and graffiti also written on the roadway. The cost to replace the sign is $50.

18A driver-side window and driver-side door of a Jeep parked at Melrose Restaurant, 6840 S. 27th St., were damaged between 8:15 and 9 a.m. Nov. 23. Nothing was stolen from inside the vehicle. Damage is estimated at $500.

19An unidentified man broke a door window with a pool cue at Classic Lanes, 7501 S. Howell Ave., the evening of Nov. 25. Damage is estimated at $50. The incident was partially captured on video surveillance.

20Graffiti was discovered on an electrical box at Forest Hill Avenue and Liberty Lane shortly after 6 a.m. Nov. 26. An officer is following up with WE Energies for a damage estimate.

21A stop sign was spray-painted with dark blue or gray paint at Griffin Avenue and Groveland Drive prior to 7:45 a.m. Nov. 26.


22A resident of the 8300 block of South Verdev Drive called police at 9:15 p.m. Nov. 20 to report someone defecated on the deck in her yard. Police are following up with possible suspects.

Oak Creek police responded to two domestic violence calls and assisted with 12 rescue calls and three fire calls between Nov. 20 and Nov. 26.
