Police Report: Nov. 13

1A laptop computer, a gaming system and diamond earrings were stolen from a home in the 7100 block of South 37th Place between 8 a.m. and 7:45 p.m. Nov. 7. A window on the south side of the home was pried open to gain entry.


2A student's tablet computer was stolen at Franklin High School, 8222 S. 51st St., between 5 and 6 p.m. Nov. 1.

3A resident reported a female acquaintance stole a handgun from his home in the 6400 block of South 35th Street about 10:30 a.m. Nov. 5. Police contacted the woman, who stated she didn't have the gun anymore before hanging up. Police are investigating.

4An 18-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl were arrested for shoplifting $114 worth of makeup and personal care products at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 4:45 p.m. Nov. 7.

5A 23-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting $20 worth of children's underwear at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 2:50 p.m. Nov. 8.

6A 37-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for shoplifting merchandise at Goodwill Industries, 6941 S. Riverwood Blvd., at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 9.

7A 53-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for theft and trespassing after he stole $3,900 worth of auto parts stored behind Gordon's No. 1 Wheel Service, 11241 W. Forest Home Ave., at 4:40 p.m. Nov. 10. The theft, which took place between 6:30 and 9 p.m. Oct. 27, was captured on surveillance video.

8A leather purse containing a driver's license, Social Security card, keys and debit cards was stolen from an employee after she left the purse on an outside ledge during her break at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., about 4 p.m. Nov. 11.


A woman told police that her ex-boyfriend, a 17-year-old boy, blocked her airway by choking her with both hands and caused bruising on her neck about 1 p.m. Nov. 7.


9A vehicle was scratched while parked outside Planet Fitness, 6529 S. 27th St., between 3:30 and 6 a.m. Nov. 8. Damage is estimated at $2,500.


10A 52-year-old Franklin man was cited for littering after he burned garbage in an uncovered grill and allowed the litter and garbage to blow into other yards in the 6900 block of South Brian Court about 12:30 p.m. Nov. 6.

11An officer removed a political sign that was posted too close to a polling place at the Milwaukee County Sports Complex near 60th Street and Ryan Road just before 1 p.m. Nov. 6.

12An employee at Whitnall Pointe Apartments, 10502 W. Cortez Circle, called police after a 26-year-old male tenant threatened to shoot a maintenance worker if he came into his apartment to make an emergency repair about 4 p.m. Nov. 6. The tenant stated he had the right to shoot anyone that comes into his apartment because Scott Walker put the Castle Doctrine into effect stating he could do so. The tenant owns an AK-47, which was seen when a maintenance worker entered the apartment, and a handgun. The tenant was notified that if he makes further threatening statements he will be cited for disorderly conduct.

13A resident reported her teenage daughter and a friend were followed by a man in a white pickup truck in the parking lot at Target, 7800 S. Lovers Lane Road, at 4:15 p.m. Nov. 9. The girls ran into the store after the driver, described as a 60-year-old white man with gray hair and wearing a red bra, asked them if they wanted something. Police are following up.

14A 52-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man, both of Milwaukee, were arrested for disorderly conduct after they disturbed guests by having a loud argument in the parking lot at the Park Motel, 7273 S. 27th St., at 3:45 a.m. Nov. 11.

15Officers responding to a report of family trouble in the 6900 block of South Tumblecreek Drive arrested a 38-year-old Franklin woman after she became belligerent and started yelling profanities at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 11.

Franklin police responded to one domestic violence call and assisted with two rescue calls between Nov. 6 and Nov. 12.
