Megan Petri and Don Wyllie of Milwaukee were married July 9, 2011, in Hubbard Park in Shorewood.

Parents of the bride are Tom and Debbie Petri of Greendale. The groom's parents are Gordon and Tui Wyllie of Kenosha.

The Rev. Jason Eeten officiated the 2 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the Wyndham Airport Hotel in Milwaukee.

The bride wore an ivory, strapless gown embellished with beads and a champagne sash. She carried a bouquet of pink orchids and green hydrangeas.

Elizabeth Petri of Greendale, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Erin Jarvey of Greendale and Melissa Nobs of West Allis.

James High of Shorewood, friend of the groom, was best man. Matt Petri of Greendale and Chris Gartman of Sheboygan.

The bride earned her early childhood education degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is a kindergarten teacher at Samuel Clemens School in Milwaukee.

The groom earned his associate degree in biomedical electronics and in automotive technology from Milwaukee Area Technical College. He is a biomedical technician with Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.

The couple split their honeymoon into two trips, one to Door County and one to the Riviera Maya.

It all started with a batch of cookies and a cute neighbor.
