Katherine Derr and Nickolous Liesener of Erin were married Nov. 17, 2012, at the Basilica of St. Josaphat in Milwaukee.
Parents of the bride are Joseph and Margaret Derr of Greendale. The groom's parents are Rolf and Mary Jo Hohmann of Menomonee Falls.
The Rev. Alejandro Lopez officiated at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the Wisconsin Club in Milwaukee.
The bride wore an ivory L'amour satin fit-and-flare gown with crumb catcher neckline. The roused bodice and draped skirt were enhanced with rhinestone, beading and crystal embellishments. A cathedral-length veil with matching trim complemented the gown's waterfall train. She carried a bouquet of calla lilies.
Andrea Mrotek of Franklin, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Rachel Peterson of Brookfield, Laurel Fritzsch of Silver Spring, Md., Becky Brylow of Greendale, Laura Klein of West Allis and Melanie Olsen of San Francisco, Calif. Flower girls were nieces Emily Derr; Hailey, Leah and Camryn Peterson; and Alexa and Brynn Liesener.
Craig Liesener of Pewaukee, brother of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Joseph Derr of Crownsville, Md., Robert Derr of Ely, Minn., Kurt Kreiter of New Berlin, and Jason Musant-Klumb and Mike Graham of Milwaukee. Ring bearer was Joey Derr, nephew of the bride.
Ushers were Keith Schroeder of Milwaukee and Veso Vujatovic of Greenfield.
The bride is an assistant professor at Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon.
The groom is a project manager at FIS in New Berlin.
The couple honeymooned in Hawaii.
