Oak Creek - Lakeshore Medical Clinic and the Oak Creek Health Department will present free orthopedics educational workshops from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 25 and Nov. 7 at the Oak Creek Public Library, 8620 S. Howell Ave.

Homestead to host season's last farmers market
Hales Corners - The Stahl-Conrad Homestead, 9724 W. Forest Home Ave., will host its last farmers market of the season from 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 27.
Seasonal produce will include a special crop of pumpkins. Enjoy breakfast with baked goods by Gemma Rae's Cheesecake Cafe and Sweet Somethings and coffee by Friends of the Hales Corners Pool, select hand-crafted gifts from Hummer Hill Wood Crafts and enjoy live musical entertainment by Brenna Beecroft.

Craft fair features more than 70 exhibitors
Oak Creek - The Franklin Lioness Club's annual Autumn Craft Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 27 at Milwaukee Area Technical College's Oak Creek Campus, 6665 S. Howell Ave.
More than 70 exhibitors will sell wooden and metal crafts, needlework, hand-woven basketry, floral designs, hand-sewn clothing and folk-painted items. A variety of baked goods will be available for purchase as well.
Admission is $1 (free for children younger than 12). Proceeds support scholarships for MATC associate degree students and others. Free parking will be available.

Students moderate presidential debate
Oak Creek - The Young Democrats and Young Republicans of Oak Creek High School will sponsor and moderate the 2012 OCHS Great Presidential Debate from 3:30 to 5:45 p.m. Oct. 31 at the Oak Creek Community Center, 8580 S. Howell Ave.
The debate will feature presidential surrogates 7th District State Sen. Chris Larson (D-Milwaukee) and 82nd District State Rep. Jeff Stone (R-Greendale). The debate itself will run from 3:30 to 5 p.m. and will be followed by a pizza-soda mixer from 5 to 5:45 p.m., at which time the speakers, organizers, students and attendees will be available for interviews.

Senior community hosts arts, craft fair and bake sale
Franklin - The Brentwood Park Senior Community, 9501 W. Loomis Road, will host its ninth annual Arts and Crafts Fair and Big Bake Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 3.
The sale will feature 22 crafters with embroidered dish towels, quilts, afghans, hangers, table runners, potato bags, slippers, money holders, jewelry, pillows, pillowcases, hats and scarves, baby quilts and clothing, lighted wreaths and globes, cards, Christmas decorations, sachets, ornaments, beaded items and tree skirts.
