Alliance to hold membership exhibit at bank

Greendale - The West Allis Art Alliance will hold its membership exhibit through May 29 at North Shore Bank, 5101 S. 76th St.

St. Matthew Church to hold fish boil

Oak Creek - St. Matthew Church, 9329 S. Chicago Road, will hold a fish boil from 4 to 7 p.m. May 18 in the cafeteria.

Dinner will include boiled potatoes, carrots, onions, fish, coleslaw, bread, homemade dessert and a beverage.

The west entrance is handicapped accessible.

Tickets cost $9 in advance or $9.50 the day of the event. Children ages 3 to 12 are $4.

Franklin Education Foundation to hold its community walk

Franklin - The Franklin Education Foundation Community Walk will be held May 19 at the Milwaukee County Sports Complex, 6000 W. Ryan Road.

The family fun walk begins at 8:30 a.m. and the duck derby at 9:30 a.m.

The 2- or 3-mile walk along the Oak Leaf Trail begins at the complex and ends at the Puetz Road bridge. Refreshments will be provided at the finish line. Parking is available at the Sports Complex; strollers are allowed but no pets, bikes or rollerblades.

BloodCenter to hold blood drive May 30

Franklin - BloodCenter of Wisconsin will hold a blood drive from noon to 4 p.m. May 30 in the St. Joseph Conference Room at Wheaton Franciscan Health Care, 10101 S. 27th St.

Anyone 16 or older who is in good health and meets eligibility requirements is encouraged to donate blood. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome. Donors should bring a photo ID. The entire process takes about an hour.

Friends group seeks volunteers to remove buckthorn

Franklin - Friends of Franklin's Parks will hold a buckthorn removal event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 9 at the Franklin Woods Nature Center, 3723 W. Puetz Road.

Volunteers are asked to bring gloves and cutting tools, and sign a waiver of liability statement.

Packers hold youth football camp in Franklin in June

Franklin - Former Green Bay Packers John Anderson, Johnnie Gray, Dexter McNab, Bryce Paup, Paul Rudzinski and Bill Schroeder will provide support at a youth football camp for children 6 to 14 at the Milwaukee County Sports Complex, 6000 W. Ryan Road, Franklin.

The camp provides noncontact instruction, teaching children how to run, throw, coach and compete the Packers way.

Myers leads series of garden walks at Boerner
