Air Force Airman Jesse J. Plantz graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. A 2010 graduate of Oak Creek High School, he is the son of Trina Plantz of West Allis.
Air Force Airman Steven M. Ellingson graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. A 2010 graduate of Waukesha South High School, he is the son of Mark Ellingson of Greendale and Rose Bartkowiak of Wankesha.
Army National Guard member Cassandra M. Almershas graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill in Lawton, Okla. She is the is the daughter of Corey and Craig Almers of Franklin.
Erin Shawgo of Franklin, daughter of Pat and Mike Shawgo, has been commissioned as a Cap Corps volunteer. Cap Corps is a Franciscan Capuchin volunteer ministry for college students and graduates who wish to emulate the example of St. Francis of Assisi and serve the poor and disenfranchised. Shawgo, a graduate of Marquette University, will be using what she learned as a justice and peace studies major providing service to the Urban Ecology Center in Milwaukee.
