Bukiewicz, Toman re-elected to council

Incumbents in Oak Creek's 2nd and 4th districts will serve another two years on the Common Council.

According to unofficial election results Tuesday, 2nd District incumbent Daniel Bukiewicz received 152 votes to challenger James Wenzler's 88 votes. Fourth District incumbent Michael Toman received 257 votes, while challenger Rosemarie Annonson received 84 votes.

Bukiewicz, 45, was first elected in 2008 and currently serves as Common Council president. Toman was appointed in 2003, and re-elected in 2004, 2006 and 2008.

Aldermen serve two-year terms and earn an annual salary of $7,200. Results remain unofficial until they are certified by the Board of Canvassers on Wednesday.
