CSM Bakery Products, a global producers of baked goods and baking ingredients, will close its Oak Creek plant by Dec. 31, the company said in a notice to the Wisconsin Department of Workplace Development.
About 100 people who work at the plant, at 7350 S. 10th St., will lose their jobs, according to the announcement.
The bakery was sold to CSM in 1996 by the family of Philip Orth after more than 100 years of family ownership. Orth started the business in 1882 as a flour and feed store.
CSM, based in Amsterdam, is a publicly traded company with 9,600 employees worldwide and annual sales of 2.9 billion euros.
