Conservatively Speaking

State Senator Mary Lazich (R-New Berlin) represents parts of four counties: Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine, and Walworth. Her Senate District 28 includes New Berlin, Franklin, Greendale, Hales Corners, Muskego, Waterford, Big Bend, the town of Vernon and parts of Greenfield, East Troy, and Mukwonago. Senator Lazich has been in the Legislature for more than a decade. She considers herself a tireless crusader for lower taxes, reduced spending and smaller government.

Congratulations, Nicholas Gardner!

Eagle Scouts

Nicholas Goldner’s Eagle Scout ceremony was held on Sunday, April 25, 2010.

My office prepared a state citation that I presented to Nicholas Goldner at the special ceremony. It reads:

Whereas, Nicholas Kevork Goldner is a member of Boy Scouts of America, and through dedication and commitment, attained the rank of Eagle Scout; and


Whereas, Nicholas Kevork Goldner’s Eagle Scout project included organizing three book drives, collecting 5,500 books, securing $1,000 in donations, coordinating 78 volunteers and 415 hours of service sorting the books and transporting the books to Waunakee; and


Whereas, Nicholas Kevork Goldner earned 23 merit badges, served his troop as a Patrol Leader, Order of the Arrow Representative, and Vice Chief of the Wag-o-Shag Lodge Order of the Arrow; and


Whereas, Nicholas Kevork Goldner, a Senior at Nathan Hale High School with excellent student status, has participated with numerous sports including football, track and field, wrestling, and swimming, participated in many school drama productions, performed the lead role in the production of a Christmas Carol, founded a climbing club for the entire district, and volunteers at the Medical College of Wisconsin; and


Whereas, Nicholas Kevork Goldner plans on attending the University of Evansville to pursue an undergraduate degree and plans to attend medical school pursuing a career as a doctor; now


Therefore, the members of the Wisconsin State Senate on the motion of Senator Mary Lazich commend Nicholas Kevork Goldner for outstanding dedication and service to scouting. Nicholas Kevork Goldner is further commended for successfully completing the requirements necessary to attain the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest, honorable rank awarded by the Boy Scouts of America.
