Put away that's the weekend!

No snow in the forecast, and that''s not only in Vancouver where it's been raining as the Olympics are about to begin. No white stuff here, either.

And no football for the first time since July.

But NASCAR gets rollin' again.

Guys, have you been to Hallmark yet?

Our regular weekend material begins tonight on This Just In with our Friday night Goodnight music post. We'll set the appropriate mood for Saturday and Sunday. Ooooh-la-la!

Saturday morning, wake up to The Barking Lot, our weekly dog blog with the dog walking forecast, my wife Jennifer's main blog, and DOGS IN THE NEWS including this dog's story:

PET CAUSE: Five-month-old puppy Buck needs treatment for a badly broken leg.

He looks pretty sad but there might be a happy ending here.
Then it's Week-ends, our weekly week in review. Can you be a hero a second time,
30 years later? Recognize this guy?

Also Saturday, Recommended Reading, always top notch stuff.

unday, My Most Popular Blogs, Culinary no-no, Photos of the Week. Here is a photo that DID NOT make the final cut.:..
