National talk radio star's show to be heard in
beginning March 1, 2010 Milwaukee
Glenn Beck, whose syndicated radio show draws over six million listeners on nearly 300 stations nationwide each week, has been added to the powerful lineup of talk hosts on News-Talk 1130 WISN.
Beginning March 1, 2010, Beck's show will be heard live weekdays from 8am-10am Central time. A third hour of Beck's program will be held, and broadcast on a delayed basis each weeknight from 9pm-10pm.
In a related move, the popular "Jay Weber Show" will start one hour earlier, and will be heard weekdays from 5am-8am, also starting on March 1st.
"Glenn Beck's radio show has made great strides over the past few years", said WISN Program Director Jerry Bott, "It was the only mega-show that wasn't part of WISN's lineup. When we had the chance to add Glenn, and still keep Jay Weber as the centerpiece and central focus of our morning drive offering, it seemed like a perfect fit."
In 2008, Beck was given the Marconi Award for National Radio and Syndicated Personality of the Year. In addition to his award-winning radio show, listeners may be familiar with Beck for his impact on other media platforms. He is a best-selling author, having no fewer than four different books reach The New York Times Best Seller List. And his nightly TV show on Fox News Channel (airs weekdays 4pm-5pm Central time) is so dominant that it draws more audience than the competing shows on CNN, HLN, and MSNBC combined.
News-Talk 1130 WISN adds Glenn Beck to a lineup that already features Mark Belling, Rush Limbaugh, the afore-mentioned Jay Weber, Vicki McKenna, Sean Hannity, and Mark Levin. WISN is taking advantage of a period of strong listener allegiance to incorporate additional clout ito its roster of hosts.
