Franklin playoff football just got personal: PART II

FRANKLIN
HIGH SCHOOL TAKES ON WAUNAKEE THIS SATURDAY AT

1:00 AT KETTLE MORAINE IN A WIAA DIVISION 2 SEMI-FINAL FOOTBALL

PLAYOFF GAME. THE WINNER ADVANCES TO THE STATE

CHAMPIONSHIP GAME AT CAMP RANDALL STADIUM.

My colleague in the state Senate, Jen Esser (Jen-Jen the Engine), a proud Waunakee High School graduate and I have been discussing a bet on this weekend’s big Franklin-Waunakee playoff football game.

Mentioned so far: wearing outlandish costumes, singing the opposing team’s school song during the noon hour in the state Capitol rotunda, and the usual wine and dine opportunities. I’d have to eat some gourmet salad without meat. Is this a friendly wager or torture?

No agreement has been reached yet, but I am sure stipulations will be agreed upon by kickoff.

She actually wanted me to stand in the middle of the hallowed rotunda and sing loyalty to Waunakee High?

NEVER!

Stay tuned.
