I support the proposed Sacred Heart at Monastery Lake in Franklin

Good news from Senate District 28

I wrote the following letter to Franklin Mayor Tom Taylor and members of the Franklin Common Council last week as they consider a proposal by
The Priests of the Sacred Heart to build a four-story apartment building across the street from the Sacred Heart School of Theology:

Dear Mayor Taylor,

It is with enthusiasm that I convey my support for Sacred Heart at Monastery Lake proposed for 7330 South Lovers Lane Road in Franklin, Wisconsin. This impressive development will serve the city of Franklin, the Senate District I represent, and the entire state of Wisconsin.

The partnership between The Priests of the Sacred Heart and Mark Carstensen Construction and Development, Inc. to create Sacred Heart at Monastery Lake will benefit priests and many seniors by providing affordable housing. I welcome the partnership and thank the Priests of the Sacred heart and Mark Carstensen Construction and Development, Inc. for undertaking the project and serving priests, senior adults, and the State of Wisconsin.

I have visited the site, viewed the plans, and again convey my highest support for the outstanding proposal. If you have questions, please contact me.

I am thrilled to hear the proposal was well received at last Tuesday night’s meeting of the Franklin Common Council. Here is the story.
