This Just In ...

Kevin Fischer is a veteran broadcaster, the recipient of over 150 major journalism awards from the Milwaukee Press Club, the Wisconsin Associated Press, the Northwest Broadcast News Association, the Wisconsin Bar Association, and others. He has been seen and heard on Milwaukee TV and radio stations for over three decades. A longtime aide to state Senate Republicans in the Wisconsin Legislature, Kevin can be seen offering his views on the news on the public affairs program, "InterCHANGE," on Milwaukee Public Television Channel 10, and heard filling in on Newstalk 1130 WISN. He lives with his wife, Jennifer, and their lovely young daughter, Kyla Audrey, in Franklin.

"You might have a much bigger story here"

I continue to receive reaction to my blogs about the Franklin Little League.  The above headline came from an interesting e-mail sent to me from Mike in Michigan:

"My son also pitched to a 6-0 record for a team that ran away with the championship at 17-1. He also batted .428 with one HR and didn’t make his All Star team. In fact, only one kid from his team made it.  The two All Star coaches, whose teams combined for 20 losses, have their players filling half the slots.  

I think you’ll find this story of politics and 'inside baseball' to be very common."

I wouldn't doubt that.  The Little League is a terrific organization. It's a shame politics played by some parents have to spoil things.
