Sometimes a Culinary Yes Yes can't wait until Sunday

At the end of January of this year, Chick-fil-A helped southern motorists stranded in a terrible snowstorm.  It was a wonderful moment, and greatly appreciated by many.  Humanitarian actions like that really touch me.  But when the efforts are so close to home I am proud in addition to heart-warmed.

Last week, Roz’s Auto Salvage suffered a three-alarm fire.  The next day, our favorite (Milwaukee’s Favorite, actually) supper club donated fish fries to the team.  Via their Facebook page on April 25th:

“We're happy to report that our neighbors at Roz Auto Salvage are in good spirits today despite yesterday's fire. The Packing House delivered complimentary Fish Fries to the Roz team (Roz remains open for business!) as a sign of our support and we wish Rick the best as he rebuilds what was lost.”

Today the Packing House treated another group of deserving neighbors to their tasty fish fries.  Again, via their Facebook page:

“The Packing House was honored to deliver complimentary Fish Fries to the Milwaukee Fire Department's Engine 17 on S. 13th & Layton today!

You may recall last week we dropped of Fish Fries to our neighbors at Roz's Auto Salvage the day after their fire and it seemed right to take Fish Fries today to the team that helped put out the fire.

Have a Happy Weekend, friends!”

A truly caring gesture by The Packing House.  I can only imagine how grateful and appreciative the team at Roz’s and the fire department were.  This is just one of a million reasons why you should stop by The Packing House and patronize their fine restaurant.
