Culinary yes-yes #70

When I create a board on Pinterest, I do it for one single & selfish reason:  it’s for ME.  The board is a collection of recipes, decorating ideas, party themes, or helpful ideas that are important and useful to me and my family.

It is fun though, I admit, when I see a particular pin of mine “re-pinned” many times over.  I enjoy seeing what others like regarding the above-mentioned categories.  About a month ago, I noticed quite a bit of re-pins from my “Entertaining – Irish Birthday” board.  That made perfect sense; people were starting to plan their St. Patty’s Day festivities.  I’m sure that the pinners were running across the same challenges I faced when I planned Kyla’s Irish Pub-themed birthday party.  Kermit the Frog says it’s not easy BEING green.  I’d like to add that it’s not easy cooking or decorating green either!

I mention my challenges in my Culinary Yes Yes from this time last year.  I haven’t found any new answers in the approximately 52 past weeks.  I’m not holding out any more hope for now.  So (Leprechaun) hats off to you if you’ve created an ultra-authentic menu for your celebrations this year.  Feel free to leave a comment or two regarding your experiences; feel free to share recipes as well.

Yummy, true-to-the-country delicacies for March 17th?  Always a Culinary Yes Yes, begorra!

Kevin mentioned a couple of not-Irish-but-super-tasty places to get Emerald Isle fare.    If you’re not lucky enough to be in Ireland these days but ARE lucky enough to be in Walt Disney World, I do hope you get a chance to sample Raglan Road. We’ve been there a few times and are always so amazed by everything from the atmosphere to the food.
