An amazing story of courage, sacrifice and healing

Wounded heroes are counting on you

Dear Friend,

"I've never seen myself bleed that much."

That's how Spc. Jacob Lerner described his injuries in Afghanistan--after a roadside bomb left his arm "blown apart," his left foot missing, and his lungs dangerously filled with blood.

Add insult to injury, he found out during his month of painful rehab that he was dramatically behind on his basic living expenses--to the point that his truck was about to be taken away.

You can see Jacob's entire heart-wrenching story right here, by watching this short video he filmed for the Coalition to Salute America's heroes.

Wounded heroes are counting on

Friend, I don't tell Jacob's story nearly as well as he does--and I don't want to give too much away--but, when he was in a time of need, he contacted the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes for help.

As you may know, we founded the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes to do what no other organization was doing: providing emergency financial aid to severely disabled troops, to assist with some day-to-day living expenses while they recover from their catastrophic injuries.

Brave men and women like Jacob, who are unable to work and are living on little or no income.

And, with the government now taking months to process disability payment paperwork, many servicemen and women are just weeks away from utility shutoff, homelessness, or car repossession, just like Jacob was.

Friend, I wanted to share Jacob's story with you so you know the real difference you're making at the Coalition--seeing, firsthand, the wounded heroes you're helping every single day.

Go here right away to watch Jacob's story. And I hope you're honored to know that what you're doing to help truly means the world to our nation's heroes.

Thank you for your continued support.
