Shari Hanneman for state Assembly

I am very reluctant to endorse candidates running for office where I live. Too often my support has been solicited with candidates showing promise by what they say they will do.  And then I’ve gotten burned and disappointed by their contradictory and disappointing actions. This has happened exclusively in regard to Franklin School Board candidates.

In a fast-approaching election, I have no such qualms or apprehensions. Shari Hanneman gets my wholehearted and strong support as she runs to fill the state Assembly seat left vacant by long-time friend and collaeague Jeff Stone. I know first-hand having worked closely with her on child safety issues when I was in the state Senate and when she was one of the heads of Citizens for a Safe Wisconsin that she will be a tremendous voice and fighter for residents in Franklin and Greenfield.

Please sign her nomination papers, then vote for Shari Hanneman.

October 16th, 2013

Dear Friends,

Yesterday Governor Scott Walker signed an executive order for a special election for the Wisconsin State Assembly, 82nd District which has been held by Jeff Stone for the past 15 years.

I am excited to let you know that I want to put my name on the ballot so I can represent Franklin and Greendale with dedicated leadership and a strong voice for our community!

I am asking your help to make it happen!

We have fought several battles together in this community – most notably fighting against harmful agendas like the proposed sex predator home in Franklin.  With your help I want to continue to protect our interests and values and work to keep Franklin and Greendale a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

The primary campaign will be fast and furious.  I have 6 DAYS to collect 400 signatures on my nomination papers in order for my name to appear on the ballot.  My committee will have ONE MONTH to raise enough money to run an effective and successful campaign!

I need your help to get this done!

Will you volunteer to collect 20 signatures on my nomination papers?

Will you take an hour to walk your neighborhood and ask your neighbors to sign?

A signature on my nomination papers is only to support that my name appears on the ballot.  I’m always frustrated when there are not enough candidates to choose from!  Please help me ensure voters have a choice in this election – someone who is an active, informed taxpayer and who knows our community!

It would be an honor and a privilege to go to Madison for YOU!

Let’s get it done!

Shari Hanneman

It is very easy to collect signatures but there are some very important guidelines:

A person who signs the nomination paper MUST reside in the 82nd Assembly District.   There is a small notch of Franklin bordered by 27th – 35th street and Drexel Ave. and Ryan Rd. that is not a part of the 82nd District.  A person circulating the nomination paper MUST be of legal voting age  (18 years old).  A person signing is not required to provide an email address – only their residence. A person circulating the nomination paper MUST sign and date the bottom of the paper or it will be disqualified

I must have all signed nomination papers returned to me no later than Monday, October 21st 5:00 p.m.

Please call me, text me, or email  -- I will be happy to come by and pick up the papers from you when complete.
