The Barking Lot-America's Finest Dog Blog (12/01/12)

The Barking Lot

The Barking Lot is a regular weekly feature of this just in
Written by my lovely wife, Jennifer and me.  It opens with the weekend dog walking forecast followed by the main blog from dog lover, Jennifer. Then it

THE WEEKEND DOG-WALKING FORECAST: We grade the weather outlook for taking your pet outdoors.

TODAY:  Mostly cloudy in the morning giving way to partly cloudy skies late in the morning. A few showers could develop by 5:00 and continue through the evening and overnight. High of 54. On December 1. Are you kidding me?   "B"

SUNDAY:  Mostly sunny, then becomimg sunny. High of 54.   "B+"

Here’s my lovely wife, Jennifer with this week’s main blog:

This week on The Barking Lot, pups get partisan.  Yeah, I know everyone in America is suffering from election fatigue.  My insight and analysis will be easier to take than Fox vs. CNN however.

Being the astute This Just In/Barking Lot reader that you are, you know that I am both a dog lover and Christmas holiday lover.  Clearly you know my political leanings.  So the following opinion will be of no great revelation.  Ready?

The former First Dog Barney was infinitely cooler and a better celebrant of all things Christmas than the current Bo Obama.  That doesn’t exactly register on my Surprise Meter given the patriotic and religious attitudes of the Bush family vs. the Obama family.

Ah, the good old days of Barney and Miss Beazley…  When it was perfectly fine to say Merry Christmas; when crèches were welcomed; when the PC Police didn’t water down our Christmas pageants into just one more secular song-fest.  But I digress.  Check out this video from the last Christmas the Bush family spent in the White House:

Cute, creative, patriotic, heart-warming.  Everything the following video is not:

(Although I will admit I’d rather see Bo in a Santa Hat than Michelle in gold lame.)

MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and all the dogs in your life, especially the Scottish terriers.
