Fellow Franklin fiscal conservatives, will you join me in standing up against those who would rob you and your families of your hard-earned dollars through excessive taxing and spending?

For years and years and years, those with Franklin taxing authority, whether it be at City Hall or the School Board, systematically, consistently, with no shame whatsoever have over and over again raped Franklin property owners with obscene, above the rate of inflation property tax increases. They’ve done so for two reasons: they could, and no one complained.

Thanks in part to a keen blogosphere and some changes in Franklin’s political landscape, more people are watching and demanding fiscal discipline.

You can say NO to Franklin property tax bullying.

It’s simple.

Do not support elected officeholders who have a tax and spending voting record. Vote them out of office.

Do not support elected officeholders who refuse to hold the line on tax and spending.

Do not support elected officeholders who make no effort to curb taxing and spending.

Do not support candidates who will vote in favor of tax and spending increases.

Do not support elected officeholders or candidates who fail to understand or openly admit they do not understand the concept of fiscal responsibility.

Do not support elected officeholders or candidates who refuse to practice or support fiscal responsibility who instead rip their critics for bringing up their positions and/or record.

If we do this collectively as a community, we can send a strong message and reform how we tax and spend in Franklin.

Are you with me, fellow freedom fighters? Will you help stop property tax bullying in Franklin, whether it be from our mayor, aldermen, or school board members, or candidates for those offices?

Please pass this along to your Franklin friends and neighbors.
