Franklin taxpayers, you pay a LOT for your public schools

The Milwaukee Business Journal reports the  Public Policy Forum took data from every school district in SE Wisconsin and boiled it down to show operating costs and ACT scores  for the 2011-2012 academic year. The report was issued Tuesday. It’s an eye-opener.

We’re not cheap in Wisconsin when it comes to edcuation and that definitely includes Franklin.

Out of 50 school districts studied, Franklin ranks 22nd in total operations spending. Franklin spends $11,758 per student.

When it comes to property tax revenue applied to schools, Franklin ranks 19th out of 50 school districts.

ACT scores?  Franklin ranks 27th out of 50.

Franklin taxpayers, you have been more than generous. But the greedy folks at the Franklin Public Schools don’t think so.

They want more.
