This Just In ...

Kevin Fischer is a veteran broadcaster, the recipient of over 150 major journalism awards from the Milwaukee Press Club, the Wisconsin Associated Press, the Northwest Broadcast News Association, the Wisconsin Bar Association, and others. He has been seen and heard on Milwaukee TV and radio stations for over three decades. A longtime aide to state Senate Republicans in the Wisconsin Legislature, Kevin can be seen offering his views on the news on the public affairs program, "InterCHANGE," on Milwaukee Public Television Channel 10, and heard filling in on Newstalk 1130 WISN. He lives with his wife, Jennifer, and their lovely young daughter, Kyla Audrey, in Franklin.

Franklin beats Kenosha Bradford in could that be?

What a tremendous victory by Franklin Thursday on the road against the state defending champions from Kenosha Bradford in overtime, 27-21.

I loved watching it as I kept changing my remote from the GOP Convention to that thrilling victory.

Ok, now comes the Kevin Fischer edge.

How could they do that?

How could the Sabers possibly pull out that win?

On the road.

In overtime.

Without the proper practice fields.

Without the proper practice fields in the right location.

Without the right locker rooms.

Without $60 million-plus in referenda in facility improvements.

No way.

Couldn’t be done.

That’s what we’re being told by the Franklin Public Schools intelligentsia.

My heartfelt congratulations, Franklin Sabers!

Here’s hoping you and your supporters learned a valuable lesson Thursday night. Tax money and spanking new "facilities" don't win you ballgames.
