Tommy Thompson can beat Tammy Baldwin

Republican control of the United States Senate is likely to be decided right here in Wisconsin.

If Republicans don't win Wisconsin there is very little chance we will be able to repeal Obamacare, rein in reckless Democrat spending and debt and bring jobs back to America.

There's one issue that must be dealt with first, before we can even begin to talk about the crisis our country is facing: electability in November.

None of the other issues matter if the GOP candidate loses to Tammy Baldwin.

I will win in November, but don't just take my word for it!

Yesterday's Marquette University Law School poll shows that I am the only GOP candidate that can beat Tammy Baldwin in November.  The recent NY Times poll concurred that I am the strongest candidate in November against Baldwin, as do 12 of the last 14 publically released polls that put me ahead-by an average margin of 7%.

Marquette Poll 4

I've won five statewide races - the only Republican candidate in this race to have ever run and won a statewide race.

My opponents are all strong candidates, bringing solid qualities to the table.  But none of them has ever built an organization to win a statewide race or been tested like I have. Are you willing to take that risk?

Looking ahead, Mitt Romney is going to need to work for every vote in Wisconsin, and who better than me to help him?

Make no mistake, if Tammy Baldwin wins the US Senate seat she's likely to hold it for 36 years or more - and will be the deciding vote to keep Obamacare, raise taxes, gut the federal welfare to work program built using the Wisconsin model, and keep America going in the wrong direction. In reality, a Baldwin victory makes an Obama win a near-guarantee.

Together, we can win the US Senate seat in November. This is not the time to gamble our future on unproven candidates. We need a victory here in Wisconsin for our country, and I am ready to deliver.
