Fight for a Better Wisconsin

In 2011, Governor Walker, Lt. Governor Kleefisch and state legislators decided it was time for tough decisions to be made and dove head first into the budget process. Right out of the gate, they passed a budget repair bill that made headlines across the country. Act 10 was the first step to a historic year that saw a $3.6 billion deficit eliminated, property taxes lowered for the first time in 12 years and over $1 billion in real savings.

Take action today and help us continue the fight for budget reform and a better tomorrow by contacting your lawmakers here!

We need to encourage our leaders to make these tough choices and this is exactly why Americans for Prosperity – Wisconsin is heading out across the state on the “A Better Tomorrow Bus Tour.” The silent majority has sat idly by for too long and it is time to make our voices heard. 2011 was just the start, if we don’t speak out we can slide backwards and undo all the changes that were made.

The 2013 budget cycle is just around the corner and we need to make sure that our elected officials know that we are expecting them to continue on the path of reform. If they use the principles of limited government, reduced spending and economic freedom, everyone wins.

  • Join our effort to call for the following requirements of the 2013 State Budget:
  • Continued elimination of the structural deficit
  • Reduce overall spending
  • No tax increases
  • No fee increases
  • No accounting gimmicks or fund raids
  • Reduce overall level of bonding

Together we can make sure that Wisconsin continues moving forward towards prosperity. Take action today!

For prosperity,

Luke Hilgemann
Wisconsin State Director
