Thompson congratulates Fitzgerald

It was wonderful to spend the weekend in Green Bay amongst our fellow Republicans as we focused our efforts on Governor Scott Walker and the critical importance of his re-election as well as our GOP state senators on June 5th.

While the convention failed to produce an endorsement, we extend our congratulations to Republican Assembly Speaker, Jeff Fitzgerald, for a strong showing.   The grassroots are certainly energized and committed to ensuring Governor Walker's agenda is carried out and fiscal responsibility is restored in Madison.

Tommy fired up the crowd in his usual manner...telling convention goers that Scott Walker's victory would create a ripple of Republican wins from Wisconsin all the way to Washington.

One of those Republican victories must include defeating Tammy Baldwin.  Just yesterday yet another poll was released confirming Tommy is the strongest candidate to face Baldwin of all the GOP US Senate candidates.

Tommy Thompson (R)
Tammy Baldwin (D)

In fact, the next closest Republican candidate is statistically tied with liberal Tammy Baldwin.  No other Republican candidate for the US Senate has shown the strength that Tommy Thompson brings to a general election campaign for the Republican Party.

This election is about securing a Republican victory in Wisconsin and retiring Harry Reid as Majority Leader - especially with Barack Obama at the top of the ticket and Tammy Baldwin's war chest of millions of dollars of liberal special interest money.

You'll be hearing more soon from Tommy with plans to repeal Obamacare, balance the budget and get America's economy on track.

Campaign Manager

PS - Tommy wanted to extend a happy Mother's Day to the moms all across Wisconsin, who have the toughest job there is...despite what Democrats say.
