This Just In ...

Kevin Fischer is a veteran broadcaster, the recipient of over 150 major journalism awards from the Milwaukee Press Club, the Wisconsin Associated Press, the Northwest Broadcast News Association, the Wisconsin Bar Association, and others. He has been seen and heard on Milwaukee TV and radio stations for over three decades. A longtime aide to state Senate Republicans in the Wisconsin Legislature, Kevin can be seen offering his views on the news on the public affairs program, "InterCHANGE," on Milwaukee Public Television Channel 10, and heard filling in on Newstalk 1130 WISN. He lives with his wife, Jennifer, and their lovely young daughter, Kyla Audrey, in Franklin.

He's tired of what?

I like my county supervisor. I really do.

(Oh, oh. When a blog starts out that way, a shoe is bound to drop.)

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports:

“Eager to play a larger role on the Milwaukee County Board, Supervisor Mark Borkowski backed Marina Dimitrijevic for chairwoman -- she won the post -- despite their very different views and records.

When Dimitrijevic rolled out the committee assignments last week, Borkowski's name topped the list as chairman of the board's judiciary committee.

Borkowski never voted for Lee Holloway for chairman and wound up heading no committees during Holloway's 10-year reign as chairman, despite Borkowski's lengthy tenure on the board.

‘I'm tired of changing urinal mints,’ Borkowski said, his way of describing the humble board role he had for a decade.”

That's a great line, and I can understand Borkowski’s frustrations. But I still wouldn’t have voted for her.
