I have said on more than one occasion that “in my next life” I would be a party stylist. For me there are too many parties to host and too little time to host them. If I were an event stylist I could plan ‘til my heart’s content; working with clients to create magical moments for their family and friends would be an incredible (although at times frustrating, and certainly tiring) line of work.
The Huffington Post recently sponsored a contest and asked readers to email them “the one thing you'd love to do before you die, and why you deserve to do it.”
So here’s me, saying that I’d love to be an event stylist. Not that heartwarming or inspiring. But how about someone who is already an event stylist who would love to help hospitalized children celebrate their birthday? Now we’re talking heartwarming AND inspiring.
Stephanie Frazier Grimm, event stylist, wrote this submission.
For anyone who thinks that event stylists are just for bridezillas on TLC clearly that is not the case, especially in Stephanie’s experience. I was deeply touched by her desire to bring a happy moment to sick children and their parents. It certainly makes my dream of planning parties pale in comparison. I admire her unique idea and wish her the very best of luck!
