The diversion of police resources to keep the peace at the 2011 Capitol Chaos impacted communities across the state, but perhaps nowhere was that impact felt as significantly as the City of Madison.
In this report we show a Madison police detective, on video, testifying under oath at trial that he didn't follow up and question two armed robbery suspects in February of 2011 because he was on protective duty during the labor union protests/capitol occupation.
The two suspects in the robbery in question allegedly went on to commit a murder later that year ...and are now residents of the Dane County Jail.
