This Just In ...

Kevin Fischer is a veteran broadcaster, the recipient of over 150 major journalism awards from the Milwaukee Press Club, the Wisconsin Associated Press, the Northwest Broadcast News Association, the Wisconsin Bar Association, and others. He has been seen and heard on Milwaukee TV and radio stations for over three decades. A longtime aide to state Senate Republicans in the Wisconsin Legislature, Kevin can be seen offering his views on the news on the public affairs program, "InterCHANGE," on Milwaukee Public Television Channel 10, and heard filling in on Newstalk 1130 WISN. He lives with his wife, Jennifer, and their lovely young daughter, Kyla Audrey, in Franklin.

UPDATE: Second thoughts about Donald Schwartz

Previously on This Just In, I posed a straightforward, legitimate question to Donald Schwartz who is running for Milwaukee County Board Supervisor in parts of Franklin, Hales Corners, and Oak Creek:

If there is a recall and it appears there will be, will you vote for Governor Walker or his opponent?

About a day and a half later, I got my answer.

I will let you decide if Schwartz’s reply is:

A) Completely satisfactory

B) Kind of fuzzy

C) Looney Tunes

The race for the County Board is a non partisan race and I have both Stand with Walker and Recall Walker supporters.  This is a clear example of my ability to work with both sides and get the peoples’ work done.

As a matter of fact, I have been politically independent and have voted for both democratic and republican candidates.

Out of all due respect, I have never been asked this question and I have never asked anyone who they are voting for- voter privacy is a fundamental right of the American voting system.

I appreciate your follow up.

Sincerely,

Don Schwartz
