A message from Donald Schwartz, candidate for Milwaukee County Board

I received the following e-mail from Donald Schwartz, candidate for the Milwaukee County Board’s 9th District that includes parts of Franklin, Oak Creek, and Hales Corners. It is published here with Schwartz’s permission:

Hi Kevin,

My name is Donald Schwartz and I’m running for this office because I am committed to finding ways to down size the County Board, improve the financial status of Milwaukee County, and build public-private partnerships, not just in the 9th district but throughout Milwaukee County. It’s real simple. We need to get more people employed and make government more efficient. I have 25 plus years experience in business development and close to that number of years in the public sector. You can’t fix problems unless you understand them first. I have a record of accomplishment in Hales Corners that stretches nearly ten years. Also, the Supervisor position is a non partisan office and I have the ability to work with all sides to get results. Many politicians are micro managers and are very good at pointing fingers. I’m not interested in the least in this approach.

My platform and decision-making will be geared to the benefit of all Milwaukee County. If we want to move forward we need to change the way things are done in government and I am an advocate for change. If you have any questions or comments please call.  More information can be found at

Thank you for your time.
