This Just In ...

Kevin Fischer is a veteran broadcaster, the recipient of over 150 major journalism awards from the Milwaukee Press Club, the Wisconsin Associated Press, the Northwest Broadcast News Association, the Wisconsin Bar Association, and others. He has been seen and heard on Milwaukee TV and radio stations for over three decades. A longtime aide to state Senate Republicans in the Wisconsin Legislature, Kevin can be seen offering his views on the news on the public affairs program, "InterCHANGE," on Milwaukee Public Television Channel 10, and heard filling in on Newstalk 1130 WISN. He lives with his wife, Jennifer, and their lovely young daughter, Kyla Audrey, in Franklin.

We’ve done this the past few years, providing updates on Franklin’s Trick or Treat, from 4 until 7 tonight. So, there is some dark time for the hobgoblins, as it should be.

You just never know who will come knocking at the Fischer door.

Little Kyla will be out in the neighborhood for her first trick or treating, dressed as Minnie Mouse. She will be accompanied by Kobi, the son of former NOW editor Mark Maley. Kobi will be dressed as a policeman.

Belated congratulations to Mark who, after 16 years with Journal Communications, has taken a position with, a subsidiary of AOL that is building 500 local news web sites around the nation and will soon be coming to Wisconsin. It sounds exciting, and I wish Mark the very best.

The sun is out, but the temperature is only about 46 degrees, some 15 degrees cooler than yesterday at this time.

Have fun everybody!
