Major New Gains in Ethical Stem Cell Research

Three years ago, scientists in Madison, Wisconsin and Kyoto, Japan made a major discovery which represents the future of stem cell research.   Instead of destroying an embryo to recover "pluripotent" stem cells, the scientists found a way to reprogram ordinary skin cells so that they become "pluripotent."  Ethical, cheaper, more beneficial to patients --all qualities lacking in embryonic stem cell research.

The Wisconsin and Japanese scientists used viruses to reprogram the cells.  A safer method needed to be found.  The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that researchers in Boston have found "a new process that appears to eliminate one of the major safety concerns while dramatically increasing the efficiency of the process."

Read the Journal Sentinel article here.

On another front, the House of Representative has reauthorized a 2005 measure which promotes ethical stem cell research using umbilical cord blood.  Congressman Chris Smith, author of the measure, said on the House floor, "it remains one of the best kept secrets in America that umbilical cord blood stem cells and adult stem cells in general are curing people of a myriad of terrible conditions and diseases."

Two more nails in the coffin of embryonic stem cell research.

National Dems Giving up on Pro-Abortion Steve Kagen

It sounds too good to be true.  According to the Appleton Post-Crescent, the national Democratic campaign committee is scaling back funds once committed to the Wisconsin 8th Congressional District.    This is a clear indication that Kagen's re-election chances are diminishing and they want to spend their money elsewhere.

Good news for candidate Reid Ribble who is waging an aggressive campaign!   Great news for the cause of life.

Right-to-Life Laws at Risk if Pro-Abortion Leaders Keep Control of State Legislature

On November 2, there is much at stake for the vulnerable whose lives we defend.  In 2006 and 2008, pro-abortion legislators took a firm grip on the leadership of the State Assembly and State Senate.  If these individuals retain control and increase their numbers, here is what is at risk:

  • Repeal of Wisconsin's historic abortion ban which would shut down abortion clinics once Roe v. Wade is overturned
  • Taxpayer funding of abortion through health care or other measures
  • Weakening or repeal of the Woman's Right to Life and Parental Consent laws
  • Attacks on the Wisconsin law which prohibits assisted suicide

Lives are at stake!  Inform yourself and vote as though lives depend on you - because they do.  Be sure to visit My Election Central at for information on federal and state candidates.

Feingold a Hard Core Backer of Abortion

Unborn children cannot survive six more years of Russ Feingold in the U.S.Senate.  They have suffered untold damage from his previous 18 years.

On measure after measure, Feingold has voted as one of the strongest backers of abortion in the entire U.S. Senate.  Feingold supports partial-birth abortion, unrestricted federal taxpayer dollars for abortion, keeping minor girls' abortions secret from their parents, forcing medical schools to train residents to perform abortions, and much more!

Feingold voted for the infamous Obamacare health care mandate which contains funding for abortions.  In short, there is not a single unborn child that Feingold has voted to protect, or will protect in the future.  Feingold is pro-abortion to the core!

The election of Ron Johnson will restore sanity and give hope to unborn children and their mothers.  A vote for Ron Johnson is a vote for life.  A vote for Russ Feingold is a definitive vote against life.

Help Stop Tom Barrett - Participate in WRTL Money Bomb

Your $25.00 will help us mail 125  voters or call 250 to tell them about Tom Barrett's dreadful pro-abortion voting record and will help us reach our goal of raising $25,000 to mail and call hundreds of thousands of right-to-life Wisconsin voters.

Tom Barrett's voting record is packed with anti-life votes.  He voted to allow a stranger to take your minor daughter across state lines to have an abortion and keep you in the dark.  He also voted to allow random members of your family - not you - to consent to your minor daughter's abortion and keep it a secret from you.

The voters of Wisconsin need to know that Tom Barrett doesn't trust the parents of Wisconsin.

Margaret Farrow, former Lieutenant Governor of Wisconsin, thinks this project is so important that she asks you to support this effort.

Why should you trust Tom Barrett to be our next governor if he doesn't trust you?  Just click here to make your donation to the Wisconsin Right to Life State PAC.
