THE WEEKEND DOG-WALKING FORECAST: We grade the weather outlook for taking your pet outdoors.

TODAY:  Sunny. High of 83.  "A"

SUNDAY:  Sunny. More humid. High of 88. "B"

Here’s my lovely wife, Jennifer with this week’s main blog:

Although I had many options for where I would get my degree, I chose Alverno College for several reasons.  They have an incredible academic reputation, the campus was easy to navigate, parking was relatively student-friendly, classes were held in rooms, not auditoriums.

I also chose to commute since we lived a short 15-minute drive away.  Why on earth would I want to share a 10 X 17 room with a complete stranger who would probably steal my food and have nocturnal habits that would drive a vampire crazy?  I’m an only child…  I don’t share my space nicely.  Not to mention the fact that I had some incredible pets that I certainly would miss!  Looking over the “amenities” that Alverno dorm life offers, I didn’t see much to entice me to pay an even larger sum of money each semester.

So what if you are college-bound, want to stay away from home, already have your perfect roommate chosen but just can’t bear to leave Fido?  Well, you are in luck!  There is hope for collegiate canine lovers!  Many schools offer the opportunity to bring your pet to live with you in the dorm.  This blog offers another list
of pet-friendly higher education institutions.

Of course you may have the ideal college or university picked out… ideal except that they won’t treat Rex like just another co-ed.  What can you do?  You can try following these suggestions. Just hold off buying anything from this site until your doggy is dean-approved!
